Frequently Asked Questions

Do Nike golf boots provide good ankle support?

Absolutely, Nike designs their golf boots with a high collar and often a zip-up or covered closure system that wraps securely around the lower leg, great for ankle support.

Especially compared to the standard low-cut golf shoe, this offers a much more locked-in feel and lateral stability; great for navigating uneven or slippery terrain in the winter months. They also offer more support than a trainer-style golf shoe, but still uphold great flexibility, so you can rotate properly through your swing.

Do Nike golf boots provide a good grip?

Yes. Nike golf boots are specifically engineered for maximum traction when it feels like the ground is working against you. They typically feature an aggressive, integrated traction pattern or specialised soft spikes that are designed to dig into soft turf.

Likewise, because the silhouette of the boot is generally sturdier, it gives a very stable platform that stops your feet from sliding or “spinning out” during powerful drives. You’ll feel much more grounded in these boots than you would in a standard golf shoe.

Are Nike golf boots good for wet and muddy weather?

This is where Nike golf boots really shine. Most models are crafted with a completely waterproof shield, or synthetic upper that acts as a barrier against moisture, rain and puddle water. Unlike standard golf shoes, where water can seep through the tongue or ankle, the boot design often features a sealed shroud that’s solely built to keep the damp out.

They are widely considered some of the best golf footwear on the market for hardcore winter golfers who feel comfortable tackling the course in any weather.

Are Nike golf boots easy to clean?

Surprisingly easy, actually. After a messy round, you can usually just wipe them down with a damp cloth or a soft brush and some warm, soapy water, and they’re good to go!

Because Nike often uses smooth, weather-resistant, synthetic materials and zipper covers, instead of mesh or suede, mud has a really hard time staining the material.
